New Delhi: India’s second largest software company, Infosys has been ranked 8th in the B2 100 list among the fastest growing technology companies in the US by Business 2.0 magazine. Another Indian IT major Cognizant Technology Solutions stood 9th in the same list.

With revenue valued at $1,592 mn, the stock returns of the company has risen by 86.7% in the last 12 months. In praise of the company, Business2.0 says that Infosys has fought back with confidence against the growing dominance of global consulting giants like IBM and Accenture in the Indian market by opening a consultancy of its own in the United States and staffing it with homegrown MBAs with impressive success.

Last week Infosys made headlines when it came close to make it to the prestigious Nasdaq 100 list. Infosys operates in 38 countries and has development centres in 16 places outside India.
