All India Institute of Homoeopathy proposed to be set up at Narela, New Delhi: Shri Shripad Yesso Naik

New Delhi: The Government plans to establish an All India Institute of Homoeopathy (AIIH) at Narela, New Delhi. It will be a Post Graduate and Doctoral Research institute. 

The civil works of the three new institutes namely, All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong and North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), Pasighat is complete and these institutes are to be operationalized during the current year (2016-17). The details of these institutes are as under:- 

All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi:- It is conceived as an Apex Institute for Ayurveda with 200 bed referral hospital. It shall impart education in the field of Ayurveda at PG & Ph.D level. 

North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy, Shillong:- The institute shall impart education in Under Graduate courses in Ayurveda and Homoeopathy both. The institute will also have attached hospitals of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy. 

North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine:- The institute is developed as a premier research institute in all aspects of folk medicine knowledge and also provide better medical / clinical facilities. 

This information was given by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
