Azure Power commissions 100MW solar power plant in Rajasthan

Mumbai: New Delhi-based renewable power generation company Azure Power has commissioned a 100MW solar power plant at Jodhpur in Rajasthan, a press release said.

The company has built the plant in a record eight months since it won the bid to build a 100MW plant under the National Solar Mission’s Phase-II, batch one, at the rate of Rs.5.45 per unit plus viability gap funding. At present, the company’s total solar power generation capacity is 142MW.

This is the largest solar power plant to have used Indian technology and equipment, the release mentioned.
