Bengaluru district has the largest number of graduates in India

New Delhi: As per the recently released Census 2011 data on higher education, Bengaluru has largest number of graduates in the age group of 20-34 years, aptly called the graduate capital of young India. Bengaluru performs well against Mumbai and Delhi, even at city levels. In terms of the absolute number of graduates in the 20-34 age bracket, Bengaluru leads all districts. It has the maximum number of engineering/technology graduates (34.7 per cent of all graduates in India), more than Delhi and Mumbai put together. In terms of number of medical graduates too, Bengaluru once again tops the charts.
