Ahmedabad: Soon people in the state will be able to get their ration card or income certificate by simply logging on to a mobile application. Gujarat government is set to launch a mobile app , Digital Gujarat, which will provide several such services on the lines of e-services already being rendered through digitalgujarat.gov.in.

"The app will be launched by the Independence Day this year. Currently, 30 services are offered through the website while 180 services are offered across counters. This includes availing ration card, caste certificate, income certificate and SC/ST certificate among others," said Gujarat's IT, science and technology secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi on the sidelines of 'Start-up Summit' organized by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and supported by Google here on Friday.

He further said that for availing services through the mobile app, the user will have to first create a profile on the website. The day-long 'Start-up Summit' saw participation of around 300 startups from across the state along with sessions by various speakers on different topics.
