LogixHealth to employ 1,000, invest US$ 15 million in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Revenue cycle management services provider LogixHealth Private Limited is planning to invest $15 million and hire 1000 persons for its upcoming facility in the city, a senior company official said.

"Our expansion plans in the city are in line with the growth of our business. We do close to 10 million medical coding and billing jobs. Our growth since the commencement of India operations in 2013 has been 20%-30%per cent year-on-year," said Peter Coakley, senior vice president (operations), LogixHealth.

The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LogixHealth Inc., US now has two offices in Bangalore. "It would be a 50000 sq. ft. facility. We are planning to hire and train at least 1000 people," Coakley said. He was the city to oversee the progress of the company's facility at 'India Land KGISL Tech Park' at Saravanampatti near here.

LogixHealth's present team size is around 800 and it is planning to grow this to more than 2000 by 2017. The company is not into medical transcription services but into coding and billing solutions for physicians and hospitals in the US, offering a range of solutions from coding to claims management, Coakley stated.

"We are looking to hire and train science graduates for our voice-based and non-voice services," he said. About 30% of the company's business is from its India operations, said Murali Mohan, associate vice president, LogixHealth.
