Seven new projects worth Rs 87.88 crore sanctioned for development of North Eastern Region

New Delhi: The Ministry of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has sanctioned seven new projects during current financial year 2014-15 (up to 30th June 2014).The projects worth combined approved cost of Rs.87.88 crore have been sanctioned under Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources(NLCPR) scheme. Approved by cabinet in 1997, Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources(NLCPR) was created in 1998.The Pool accrues unspent balances out of 10% earmarked for North Eastern Region in the budget of various Ministries/Departments. Funding under NLCPR is on 90:10 (Grant: State Share) basis.
