India, Japan to carry out gas hydrate survey

Carriage charges on STD calls halved by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) slashed the carriage charge by close to half that telecom operators need to pay providers of long-distance telephony for carrying STD calls. The regulator has put a cap of 35 paisa (US$ 0.005) per minute ceiling on the charge, irrespective of the distance of the call.
