India and USA sign agreements to strengthen cooperation in health sector
India and the US signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) on Cooperation on cancer research, prevention, control and management and Collaboration in Environmental and Occupational Health and Injury Prevention and Control including a Letter of Intent (LoI) on antimicrobial resistance research, in order to enhance cooperation in the healthcare sector.
India among top 10 countries to attract highest FDI in 2014: Unctad
India has entered the list of top 10 destinations for Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in 2014 by acquiring the ninth spot with 22 per cent increase in total FDI inflows to US$ 34 billion, according to the World Investment Report 2015 released by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
India joins global pact for automatic exchange of financial data
India has joined the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (MCAA) on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (AEOI) and has become part of the ninety four countries committed to exchange information on an automatic basis from 2017 onwards as per the new global standards on automatic exchange of information, known as Common Reporting Standards (CRS). This will help India receive information from several countries and help prevent tax evasion and avoidance, thereby dealing with the problem of black money.

Arun Jaitley says India’s growth potential more than 7.5%
Union Minister for Finance, Mr Arun Jaitley, predicted a higher growth rate of 8 per cent for the Indian economy for the current year, while speaking to a news channel during his 10 day visit to US. He expected the current growth rate of 7.5 per cent to improve owing to a series of reforms aided by investment in Infrastructure, improvement in manufacturing and agriculture.
Yoga steps into Guinness World Records
The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) Government of India, has been awarded with two Guinness World Records on the International Day of Yoga for having 35,985 participants performing yoga and for having participants from 84 countries.
Investments surge in India's telecom industry
Post the approval of 100 per cent Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the telecom sector in July 2013, the first ten months (till January 2015) of previous fiscal year have witnessed highest ever FDI inflows of US$ 2.83 billion into telecom companies.
