Basic urban infra investment plans for 102 cities approved under AMRUT
Ministry of Urban Development has approved investment of Rs 3,120 crore (US$ 467.4 million) for enhancing water supply, sewerage network services, storm water drains, non-motorised transport and availability of public spaces in 102 cities, under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in order to improve basic infrastructure in urban area.

Bids for transmission projects worth Rs 12,000 crore to be invited soon
The Government of India is planning to invite bids for transmission projects of around Rs 12,000 crore (US$ 1.8 billion) which include the Warangal project in the state of Telangana, estimated to cost around Rs 9,000 crore (US$ 1.3 billion) and a project in Odisha with an estimated cost of Rs 3,000 crore (US$ 451.4 million); both these projects are part of Rs 100,000 crore (US$ 15.0 billion) investment planned in the power sector.
