International Sourcing Expo is Australia’s leading sourcing platform for the leather, apparel, accessories and textile industry. This established business event enjoys an impressive following of industry leaders and qualified trade buyers from across Australia. The total participation is close to 1000 exhibitors from various countries and the expo space is close to 13500 sqm. Australia’s off shore manufacturing and importing is increasing year on year. Australia boasts 10 free trade agreements with countries including China, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, USA, Chile, ASEAN, Malaysia and Japan. The negotiations are underway with India and Indonesia. In 2016 exhibitors from China, India, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Fiji, Cambodia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia and others participated in this large-scale event.

The Indian pavilion will have participation from CLE (http://leatherindia.org/), HEPC (www.indiahandloombrand.gov.in), FIEO (www.fieo.org) and overall close to 125 Indian Companies are participating in the fair.

Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC)

India's Textile Industry is the country's second largest industry in terms of employment potential. Handloom sector plays a very important role in the country's economy. Handloom industry is the largest cottage industry in the country with 23.77 lakh looms.

The major handloom export centres are Karur, Panipat, Varanasi & Kannur where handloom products like Bed linen, Table linen, Kitchen linen, Toilet linen, Floor coverings, embroidered textile materials, curtains etc. are produced for export markets.

The Handloom industry mainly exports fabrics, bed linen, table linen, toilet and kitchen linen, towels, curtains, cushions and pads, tapestries and upholstery's, carpets, floor coverings, etc. The major importing countries of Handloom products from India are USA, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Netherland and UAE.

Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC) is a nodal agency constituted under "The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India" to promote exports of all handloom products like fabrics, home furnishings, carpets, floor coverings, etc. HEPC was constituted in the year 1965 with 96 members and its present membership is around 1400 spread all over the country.

The prime object of HEPC is to provide all support and guidance to the Indian Handloom exporters and International buyers for trade promotion and international marketing. HEPC organizes / participates in International Trade fairs, Buyer Seller Meets in India and abroad & seminars

Council For Leather Exports (CLE)

The Council for Leather Exports (CLE) is the single largest and Apex trade promotion orgnisation of the strong and rapidly growing Indian leather & leather products industry.

CLE is committed towards the overall development of Indian leather sector and achieve higher export growth to enhance India's share in global leather trade. CLE is functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. It is the notified Export Promotion organization for entire leather & leather products industry.
