Enterprise mobility: A market with huge potential

Enterprise mobility: A market with huge potential

The enterprise mobility market in India is expected to increase almost five-fold to touch US$ 1 billion by mid-2015, up from US$ 244 million in 2011. As Indian companies are looking at bringing in better operational and process efficiencies, enterprise mobility is expected to take a significant share of transformational IT focus.

Indian companies are now looking at enterprise mobility for functions like ERP, CRM, SCM, sales force automation, unified communication and billing – a move beyond traditional email and social networking. As the growth in mobile internet user base has been accelerated by increasing smartphone penetration in the country (expected to reach 150 million by 2015), the enterprise mobility market in India is expected to provide enormous opportunities for growth for companies operating in this sector. In the coming years, the Indian enterprise stand to derive enormous operational and business benefits thereby setting a strong platform for IT transformation.
