Tracenet: APEDA's quality development initiative

We bring to you Tracenet, an IT-based initiative of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Department of Commerce, Government of India. Tracenet is the world's first ever web-based traceability system developed and implemented at national level for organic products. In fact, it is among the first such national initiatives and has been recognised with the e-ASIA award instituted by UN/AFACT in 2011. It has contributed to both - bringing more transparency in the process and enhancing the credibility of certification system for organic foods in India.
