As the government contemplates a stimulus package for the Indian business economy, it is felt that such measures would help the economy bounce back in the second half of next fiscal.

We also present to you a related perspective of Canara Bank, a prominent public sector bank, on how the banking sector could be expected to play its due role in meeting the general credit requirement.

Significantly, inflation fell to a nine-month low of 6.84 per cent for the week ended December 6, 2008.

In the Special this time, we focus on the joint PanIIT and IBEF study — IIT Alumni Impact Study-2008 — that highlights the contribution of over 200,000 IITians to the world, be it in terms of leadership, economics or social responsibility.
