Chennai/Kochi: The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) has proposed to set up a solar energy park in Palakkad district under the Central Financial Assistance scheme.
The park is proposed to be located in Walayar, where Kinfra has 6 acres of land. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 22 crore excluding the cost of the land.
The project is schedule to complete in 30 months according to a Kinfra release.
Of the two available technology, solar photo voltaic (PV) and solar thermal, latter is recommended for the plant, the release added.
