Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teachers' Cadre) Bill passed by Lok Sabha

Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Bill 2019, passed by Lok Sabha on Monday, which will be replaced with an ordinance issued in March. 

The bill proposes to make colleges the base unit as opposed to an office for giving reservation to educators/teachers in universities. The enactment would help fill around 8,000 existing opening in 41 central universities.
