Mumbai: LinkedIn, a business-oriented social networking service, announced that it has crossed the 100 million-member mark in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) with India having 37 million members, thereby becoming its largest market in the APAC region and second largest worldwide. LinkedIn's APAC member base has doubled from 50 million to 100 million in last two years and currently it constitutes 22 per cent of LinkedIn's global member base of over 450 million. Mr Olivier Legrand, Managing Director of LinkedIn Asia Pacific and Japan, said that with this increase in the member base in the APAC region, LinkedIn will further be able to facilitate its members to get new job opportunities, promotions or other business opportunities. Currently within APAC, China has more than 23 million LinkedIn members, Australia has eight million members, Indonesia has six million members while Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore has four, three and one million members respectively.
