Jubilant Life gets USFDA nod for hypertension drug

New Delhi: Jubilant Life Sciences, a pharmaceutical company, has been granted a final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for its olmesartan medoxomil tablets, that are used for treating hypertension. The approved drug is the generic version of Benicar of Daiichi Sankyo, which is also used in the treatment of hypertension. As on 31 December 2016, Jubilant Life Sciences had a total of 73 abbreviated new drug applications for oral solids filed in the USA, of which 49 have been approved.
