The governance reforms introduced by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi during the last eight years are actually social reforms aimed at achieving ‘ease of living’ for the common man and a "level playing field" for the aspirational youth, said Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space.
The hallmark of Mr. Modi's governance model is his ability to make unconventional decisions, break historical taboos, and transform government campaigns into mass campaigns based on his courage, conviction, and sincerity, said Dr. Singh while addressing a two-day regional conference in Bengaluru on the theme "Bringing Citizens, Entrepreneurs, and Government Closer for Good Governance".
National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is gearing up to conduct computer-based online Common Eligibility Test (CET) for recruitment to non-Gazetted posts by the end of 2022, said Dr. Singh.
During the 2-day event, presentations were made in six sessions: Administrative Reforms, The Outside in View: Private Sector & Good Governance, Replication of Best Practices, Administrative Reforms in States, Benchmarking Governance, Start-ups and Experiments in Good Governance.
