Vu Televisions emerge as market leaders in large size and 4K category in India

In the last few years, there has been increase in the sales of affordable smart TV segment. Vu Televisions, a California-Indian television player was among the first ones to launch a smart TV in India at an affordable price. It is also among the first to offer online sale of a consumer electronic product with strategic e-commerce partnerships back in 2013.

The Vu Televisions has become the market leader with its sales of 4K range of smart TVs reaching over 1,50,000 sets in the second half of 2019.

Since the launch of the company in 2006, it has witnessed a growth of 30 per cent year-on-year. It is the world's first and only player in 100-inch television and thus has remained as single largest player with its Vu 100. 

The focus of the company is to deliver high-quality viewing experiences and to upgrade the television choices for customers. At present, the cost of a 4K Vu TV is at Rs 20,000 (US$ 286.16). This is to make sure that every household is able to afford the high-end lifestyle product. 

The available smart TVs by the company are across the six categories in 10 sizes. Recently, Vu launched the Ultra Android TV, with the salient feature of Pure Prism Grade High Brightness Panel.
