Xander Investment to invest Rs 1,750 crore (US$ 250 million) in new industrial platform

On Tuesday, the private equity real estate, Xander Investment Management (XsIM), which is an arm of global investment firm The Xander Group (TXG), launched an industrial real estate platform.
In Logistics, Warehousing and other industrial assets in key industrial corridors, XIM will invest US$ 250 million (Rs 1,750 crore). Along with this investment Xander joins the likes of CPPIB, Warbug Pincus, Ascends Singbridge which have floated such ventures in country.
Sponsored by TXG, the platform has raised capital from European institutional investors that have been limited partners in XIM-sponsored opportunity funds. XIM Singapore will act as the investment advisor to the platform.
XIM said, "the platform has acquired a portfolio of 2 million square feet incubated by Xander for Rs 600 crore (US$ 85.85 million) to seed the platform".
