Govt support

Industries and IT Minister PK Kunhalikutty told an investors’ meet on Friday that Infopark had so far achieved all the key targets. He said the State government, along with the local bodies, would actively support Infopark.

Cognizant, which has already taken 15 acres in Phase II for developing their campus, will be completing its first campus this year.

The Phase I campuses of TCS and Brigade are fast heading for completion. The TCS campus will be ready later this year while the first phase of the Brigade campus will be ready for operation by the middle of next year.

“Our target is to double the built-up area to six million square feet by 2015,” Infopark CEO Hrishikesh Nair told the investors’ meet. “Infopark is expecting the export revenue to cross Rs. 2,000 crore this financial year.” Over 10,000 jobs would be created too, he added.
