New Delhi: India Inc has welcomed the unique initiative of International Solar Alliance (ISA) of over 120 countries which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Global Climate Summit in Paris with a view to boost solar energy in developing nations. India has an ambitious target to install 175 GigaWatts (GW) of renewable energy by 2022. The initiative will give much needed boost to a low-carbon future and can help India achieve its 100 GW solar energy target by 2022, thereby providing energy access to over 75 million unelectrified households under the "24x7 Power for All" initiative. ISA will be an inspiration and support to several developed and developing countries to advance on a clean energy pathway.
