New Delhi: The Government of India is expected to soon announce an interest subsidy scheme for exporters in order to boost exports and explore new markets, as per Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Ministry of Commerce and Industry. As per the interest subvention scheme, exporters would get loans at affordable rates which will help them lower cost of funds and improve shipments. India’s exports have declined 15.82 per cent to US$ 22.28 billion in June 2015 due to global slowdown and currency fluctuations, especially the Euro currency.
