Government plans to auction 41 new coal blocks

The government plans to sale more than 41 new coal blocks "very soon", and various significant steps have been taken to enlarge and monitor coal dispatches to power plants, said by Union minister Prahalad Joshi.

As per coal and mines minister, in 2018-19, all commodities stacking by the Indian Railways was 1,223.29 million tons, out of which coal stacking was 605.82 MT, which is just about 50 per cent.
