Paytm Becomes The Largest LPG Cylinder Booking Platform In India

Paytm said on Friday that it recorded over 5 million bookings within a year of opening the LPG cylinder bookings service, making it the largest enabler of these bookings in India.

Last year the digital financial services platform introduced 'Book a Cylinder' by partnering with HP Gas, followed by Indian Oil's Indane. In May 2020, the tie-up with Bharat Gas was announced.

The easy booking process of the app has attracted more repeat clients to Paytm.

Paytm Vice President Mr. Narendra Yadav said, "LPG cylinder is one of the largest utility segments in the country, serving all socio-economic classes & geographical regions. This is a high-priority segment for us and one of the key drivers towards achieving our goal of digitization of all essential services. We are working to cross the benchmark of 10 million bookings by the end of this financial year.

The user must go to the 'Book a Cylinder' tab to make a cylinder booking on Paytm, choose a gas supplier, enter LPG ID/mobile no./consumer no, and then make the payment.

The cylinder is sent to the registered address by the local approved agency of the gas supplier.
