SpiceJet becomes world's top airline stock with 124% gain in 2017

New Delhi/Mumbai: Spicejet has become the world’s best-performing airline stock in the year 2017 with a gain 124 per cent in 2017, and nearly 800 per cent since the company's near liquidation situation in 2014. Mr Ajay Singh, Co-founder and Chairman, has played a strategic role by providing additional capital, discontinuing loss making routes and aggressively adding capacity. The company currently has a market value of US$ 1.2 billion and the outlook for aviation companies look positive as long as oil prices are under control.
