Gujarat is ready to be the semiconductor hub of the country: Chief Minster Mr. Bhupendra Patel at Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024

On the second day of the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Chief Minster Mr. Bhupendra Patel announced Gujarat's unwavering commitment to establishing itself as a prominent hub for the semiconductor industry, a vision initially put forth in 2022. Launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in 2003, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit has evolved into a flagship event, providing a platform for significant announcements and strategic initiatives. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel, addressing the audience, underscored the increasing significance of technology in India, particularly in the semiconductor and electronic sectors. He highlighted Gujarat's proactive embrace of advanced technologies like AI, shaping the trajectory of everyday life and positioning the state at the forefront of technological advancement.

Emphasizing Gujarat's dedication, Chief Minster Mr. Bhupendra Patel proudly declared the state the first in India to announce plans for developing a semiconductor industry. He pointed to the swift allocation of land to Micron in Sanand as a tangible demonstration of Gujarat's commitment to fostering the semiconductor sector.
