Indian drone manufacturer IdeaForge enters US market

Over the past decade, India's drone industry has experienced significant growth, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic. The CEO of leading Indian drone manufacturer, IdeaForge, Mr. Ankit Mehta, highlighted this progress while introducing their products to the competitive US market. IdeaForge, currently ranked fifth globally in the civil and defense dual-use category, is strategically entering the American drone market amid hesitancy towards Chinese-made drones.

In an interview with PTI Videos, Mr. Ankit Mehta attributed the industry's advancements to a supportive environment created by the Indian government over the last decade. He emphasized that the pace of growth notably accelerated after the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Mehta mentioned that, before the pandemic, drone regulations were relatively strict, limiting flexibility in terms of usage and deployment. The evolving landscape, both in terms of regulations and technological advancements, has propelled India's drone industry forward, making it more competitive and adaptable on a global scale.
