Israel to invest in defence, IT, and agriculture technology in Uttar Pradesh

Israel has expressed its desire to invest in six sectors in Uttar Pradesh before the Global Investors Summit 2023. The six sectors include defence and aerospace, IT, agriculture technology, pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturing, and water management. Israel's Ambassador to India, Mr Naor Gillon, also enunciated Israel's readiness to partner with Uttar Pradesh in areas like IT, security and defence infrastructure with its hi-tech system and innovation. 

In its press release, the state government also underlined Israel's role in water management in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Israel will be an important partner of the state with six nodes of the defence corridor and introduce new technologies to boost the state's agriculture. The press release also stated that the Uttar Pradesh government is in touch with companies in Israel's Tel Aviv and Haifa and the officials of the Agriculture and Irrigation Department, on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government, are also ready to finalise the deal with Israel.
