More than 43.3 crore digital transactions in India every month, says Union Finance Minister, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman.

Union Finance Minister, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, hailed India's robust digital infrastructure, attributing the nation's leading position in digital transactions to widespread accessibility. Addressing the Viksit Bharat 2047 Ambassador Campus Dialogue, she highlighted India's monthly tally of 43.3 crore digital transactions, emphasizing the seamless integration of buyers, sellers, and payment systems facilitated by digital public infrastructure.

Moreover, she lauded India's strides in mobile phone production and renewable energy sectors, thanks to initiatives like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes. She commended the burgeoning startup ecosystem, extending into the space sector, facilitated by the government's initiatives. Additionally, the government allocates US$ 12 billion (Rs. 1 lakh crore) for science and research to bolster emerging startups and innovation. She emphasized the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi Government's commitment to achieving Viksit Bharat through infrastructure development, highlighting improved infrastructure, modern educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.
