Projects of over US$ 846.3 million (Rs. 7000 crore) sanctioned in the last 3 months under PM-JANMAN; Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, released 1st Instalment on 15th January 2024.

On November 15th, Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi launched the Nyaya Maha Abhiyan, a three-year mission with a US$ 2.9 billion (Rs. 24,000 crore) project outlay. Over the past three months, projects exceeding (Rs. 7000 crore) have been sanctioned, primarily focusing on housing, water, road, electricity, telecom, and Multipurpose Centres. Notably, the Central share of the budget outlay has been released in most states, leading to the initiation of construction works.

The Nyaya Maha Abhiyan aims to ensure justice and equity by addressing the needs of eligible households and habitations. Key objectives include road and telecom connectivity, construction of durable houses with sanitation facilities, electricity through on-grid and solar means, and enhanced access to education and health services. The mission's data collection efforts, conducted through mobile applications on the Gatishakti Portal and habitation-level surveys by State Governments, UT Administrations, and departments, have identified critical infrastructural gaps. These serve as the basis for proposals and sanctions from the nine ministries associated with PM JANMAN, facilitating targeted interventions. In the last four months, significant achievements include the issuance of 2 lakh Aadhar cards, 5 lakh Ayushman cards, and 50,000 Jan Dhan accounts, along with benefits provided to over 5 lakh tribal families holding FRA pattas through the PM Kisan Saman Nidhi.
