Street vendors availed hassle-free loans under the Street Vendors’ Aatmanirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi), according to Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. The objective of the PM SVANidhi scheme is to provide affordable loans of up to Rs. 10,000 (US$ 135.23) to more than five million street vendors whose enterprises were operational on or before 24 March. In June the scheme was launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and is valid until March 2022.

Harley Davidson signed a distribution agreement with Hero MotoCorp to sell motorcycles in India. Hero MotoCorp will distribute and service Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and sell parts, accessories and general merchandise riding equipment and apparel through a network of brand-exclusive Harley-Davidson dealers and the current distributor network of Hero in India pursuant to a distribution agreement.

Tata Group plans to invest Rs. 5,000 crore (US$ 676.59 million) to set up a phone component manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. The paper claimed that Tata Sons, Tata Electronics, was allocated 500 acres by TIDCO (Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation) and that the precision engineering division of the Titan Co Ltd group company, Titan Engineering and Automation Ltd, would provide the expertise for this project.
