On Tuesday, US-based motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson partnered with the country's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, to sell and service its products in the nation.

Hero MotoCorp will distribute and service Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and sell parts, accessories and general merchandise riding equipment and apparel through a network of brand-exclusive Harley-Davidson dealers and the current distributor network of Hero in India pursuant to a distribution agreement.

Hero MotoCorp will produce and market a range of luxury motorcycles under the Harley-Davidson brand name as part of a licencing agreement.

These activities are aligned with the market overhaul of Harley-Davidson, The Rewire, and the decision in September by the company to change its market model in India.

This partnership is mutually beneficial in India for both businesses and riders, as it combines the iconic Harley-Davidson brand with Hero MotoCorp's efficient distribution network and customer support, the latter said in a statement.
