  • Certified 'Organic' by Control Union Certifications
  • The Estate conforms to Japan Agricultural Standards (JAS)

Poabs Organic Estates, one of the leading organic producers in India, is situated in the Nelliyampathy Hills in Palghat District of Kerala state in South India. At an average height of 3,500 feet, the estate is India’s largest perennial multi-crop organic farm, growing certified organic tea, coffee (Arabica and Robusta) with intercrops of pepper, cardamom and vanilla.

The Poabs group took over the tea plantations in the hills and resolved the pending severe workers’ disputes of the former owners. It revived the estate by securing work for the existing 150 families. The old plantation is now replanted with the improved varieties of Coffee, Tea, Cardamom and Pepper plants, using organic farming since 1989.
