*India targets Rs. 8,549 crore (US$ 1 billion) in turmeric exports by 2030, with the Turmeric Board supporting farmers, maintaining a 58-66% global market share.
*Food grain production has surged from 204.6 million tonnes (2004-05) to an estimated 376.56 million tonnes (2025-26), with enhanced productivity and Minimum Support Price (MSP) revisions ensuring better farmer incomes.

*India has identified 384 sites for seaweed farming, spanning 24,707 hectares along its 11,099 km coastline. Over the past five years (2020–2025), projects valued at Rs. 198.17 crore (US$ 22.92 million) have received approval for seaweed cultivation and associated activities.
*India can double maize production to 86 million tonnes by 2047, offering attractive opportunities through high-yield seeds and crop diversification.
*The Union Government has approved an additional 2.8 million tonnes of rice from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) for ethanol production in 2024–25, increasing the total allocation to 5.2 million tonnes, despite continued concerns about the use of food grains for fuel production instead of food security purposes.

*The Union Cabinet approved the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) worth Rs. 24,000 crore (US$ 2.79 billion) from FY26 to boost farm productivity, irrigation, credit access, and post-harvest infrastructure for 1.7 crore farmers across 100 districts
*From 2014–15 to 2025–26, a total of 25,689 Custom Hiring Centres (CHCs) have been established under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation (SMAM) scheme, including 558 CHCs during 2025–26 (as of 30 October 2025).
*The Government of India has allocated an outlay of Rs. 1,600 crore (US$ 185.04 million) for 2025–26 under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana. One of its key objectives is to enhance water delivery infrastructure from existing canals and other sources to designated clusters.

*Total area under foodgrain crops stood at 142.3 million hectares in 2025–26 rose from 124.3 million hectares in 2014–15 and 120.2 million hectares in 2004–05.
*In 2025, the European Union (EU) has approved 102 additional fishery establishments for the export of India’s marine products, taking the total number of EU-approved Indian seafood export units to 604. This milestone is expected to strengthen India’s position in the European seafood market and mitigate the impact of US tariffs.
