2019 Launching two new branches at Thisaiyanvilai and Pollachi.
2018 Opening ceremony of its new sales outlet at Batlagundu, Dindidul district in Tamil Nadu on October 19, 2018. This store is its 33rd in India.
2016 The company opened its 31st branch at Virudhanagar in Tamil Nadu on February 17, 2016.
2008 In April 2008, opened showroom at Rajapalayam in Tamil Nadu. In September 2008, opened showroom at Karaikudi in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu.
2007 The name of the company was changed to Thangamayil Jewellery Limited upon conversion into public limited company with effect from November 20, 2007 and a fresh certificate of incorporation was obtained from Registrar of Companies, Chennai.
2001 In June 2001, opened of exclusive showroom for diamond and other precious stones at Madurai.
In August 2001, obtained Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmarking license.
2000 The company was originally incorporated on March 24, 2000 as a private limited company.
1947 Mr. N. Balusamy Chettiar, father of Mr. Balarama Govinda Das, Mr. Ba Ramesh and Mr. N.B. Kumar started a proprietorship concern as "Balu Jewellery" having its office at 14 Swami Sandhi Street, Madurai.
