Larsen & Toubro bags Rs 5,492 crore construction jobs

Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro has bagged construction orders worth Rs 5,492 crore from different sectors, the engineering major said Monday.

These orders included jobs worth Rs 2,768 crore for buildings and factories and Rs 984 crore of orders for power transmission and distribution projects.

L&T said it has also won an order worth Rs 188 crores from the Rural Water Supply & Sanitation Department for the construction of intake wells, water treatment plants and a raw water pumping main in the Medak district of Telangana along with associated electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works.

Besides these orders, the company has also won additional orders worth Rs 1,552 crores from various ongoing jobs.
