Vodafone expands 3G network in Sikkim

New Delhi: Vodafone India Tuesday launched its 3G services in North Sikkim Lachen, further expanding the reach of its high-speed broadband services after having launched in Lachung.

"We are now fully equipped to provide the finest connectivity and service to our valued customers in North Sikkim," Anand Sahai, Business Head - Kolkata and Rest of Bengal, at India's No. 2 mobile phone operator, said.

Vodafone, the Indian arm of UK's Vodafone group, now covers more than 94% of the population in Rest of Bengal Circle. It said that it will further ramp up its network in an effort to offer uninterrupted connectivity, the executive added.
