1962 Incorporated under the name Kasjax Engineering Ancillaries
1965 Name of the company is changed to Sundram Fasteners (P) Ltd
1982 Introduced new products in technical collaboration with Neumeyer Germany
1992 Established an Export Oriented Unit (EOU) for production of radiator caps oil filler caps and petrol filler caps for General Motors USA
1997 Signed an agreement with General Motors USA for supplying their entire requirement of radiator caps
1999 Bestowed `Supplier of the Year' award from General Motors Corporation of the US for the third successive year
2000 Receives Automotive Components Manufacturers Association (ACMA) Export Trophy for 1999-2000 for excellence in export performance
2004 Inaugurates its first offshore facility in Haiyan county of China
2006 Receives honour for excellence in export from ACMA
2007 Commences production of hubs and shafts for automotive gear boxes from its facility in Special Economic Zone Mahindra World City near Chennai
2015 Acquires 49.16 per cent equity stake in TVS Infotech Limited.
2017 Board of Directors approve amalgamation of Sundram Precision Components Limited (SPCL) with Sundram Fasteners
2018 Surpasses the milestone of net profit of Rs 100 crore (US$ 14.92 million)for the first time
