Voltas Ltd. is part of the Tata Group and the largest air conditioning company in India. It was established in 1954 and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, with regional offices across major Indian cities. The company operates in the following three segments unitary cooling products, electromechanical projects & services and engineering products & services. The company has one of the largest distribution networks in India with more than 15,000 touchpoints in FY20. In consumer durables, the company manufactures room air conditioners and air coolers. It was a leader in the room ACs segment with a 24.2% market share in FY20, whereas it held the second position in air coolers.
VoltBek is a 50:50 joint venture company (JVC) between Voltas Limited and Arçelik. With this JV, Voltas entered the home appliances market.

Voltas, India's leading air conditioning brand under the Tata group, achieved a significant milestone in fiscal year 2023-24 by recording its highest-ever annual sales of air conditioning units. During this period, the company sold over 2 million AC units, the highest ever annual sales figure attained by any brand in the Indian market. This impressive performance reflects a robust 35% YoY volume growth for Voltas' air conditioning business. |

Voltas Limited from the house of Tata, launched its first brand store in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh on August 21, 2023. Voltas Limited launched a new brand store in Port Blair on July 20, 2023. In May 2023, to strengthen its Make in India commitment to the nation; Voltas laid the groundwork and performed Bhoomi Pujan at Madharapakkam, Thiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu, for its new Air Conditioner factory. Voltas, in April 2023, announced the launch of an extensive range of all new Voltas FreshAir Coolers. This latest offering of Voltas FreshAir Coolers offers a wide range of features. Voltas Limited announced the inauguration of its new customer Experience Centre at Chandigarh on April 21, 2025. It is the first 'Experience Zone’ in Chandigarh and fifth in the country. Voltas Limited launched its new brand shop, M/s Mayur Engineers Private Limited at Ballabgarh, Haryana, on April 17, 2023. It is the first ‘Brand Shop’ in the city and the 17th in the state. Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services (UMPESL), a 100% subsidiary of Voltas Ltd. bagged multiple SITC project orders worth Rs. 1,770 crore (US$ 216.1 million) in the Electrical Power Distribution business for FY23, including a solar power project. These orders were won in the highly competitive market and will benefit more than 46 million Indians across states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, and Karnataka. In November 2022, Voltas entered into a technology license agreement with Denmark’s Vestfrost Solutions to develop, manufacture, sell and service medical refrigeration and vaccine storage equipment including ice lined refrigerators, vaccine freezers and ultra-low temperature freezers to the India market. Voltas Collaborates With Goonj To Spread Happiness And Give Back To The Community. Voltas sells 1.2 million units of AC in H1 CY22. In Madodhar Village, Waghodia, Gujarat, Voltas opens its first Solid Waste Management plant. In January, Voltas and Voltas Beko have launched an exclusive, one-of-a-kind Experience Zone in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, to suit the growing aspirations of Mumbai consumers for technologically advanced and futuristic Voltas and Voltas Beko products. |

In September 2021, Voltas launched an exclusive Online Web Store – www.voltaslounge.com – for online buyers. In April 2021, Voltas launched its first ‘Brand Shop’ in Odisha to meet the rising demand from consumers for Voltas and Voltas Beko products, including air coolers, refrigerators, water dispensers, air conditioners, air purifiers, water coolers, commercial refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves and dishwashers. Votas launched a new range of inverter air conditioners in India. It also launched a split air conditioners, window air conditioners, and cassettes and tower air conditioners. |
