Kamarajar Port Limited (Erstwhile & Ennore Port Limited) is one of the 12 major ports of India and situated in the state of Tamil Nadu. Different from the other ports which are run as trusts, it is incorporated as a company. The company currently has a total cargo handling capacity of 38 MMTPA and is targeting to increase it to 96 MMTPA by 2020-21.
The port handled 30.45 MMT of cargo in FY18 and 10.88 MMT of cargo in FY20 (up to July 2019). Its total income in FY18 reached Rs 638.29 crore (US$ 99.04 million). Kamarajar Port Limited earned a total income of Rs 329.58 crore (US$ 45.67 million) in HY1 FY19.
