19th round of India-Singapore Foreign Office Consultations takes place in New Delhi

India and Singapore reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation under the Roadmap for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) during the 19th round of India-Singapore Foreign Office Consultations held in New Delhi. The consultations were co-chaired by Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Rudrendra Tandon, and Permanent Secretary (Policy), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Mr. Luke Goh. Both sides assessed cooperation across the roadmap's eight priority areas, including economic cooperation, skills development, digitalisation, sustainability, connectivity, healthcare and medicine, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and defence and security cooperation. The discussions also focused on strengthening implementation of initiatives to be taken forward under the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR).

The two countries also exchanged views on regional and global developments and reaffirmed the importance of close coordination in regional and multilateral forums, including ASEAN, to address shared challenges. India-Singapore relations were elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's visit to Singapore in September 2024, while the roadmap was launched during Singapore Prime Minister Mr. Lawrence Wong's visit to India in September 2025. The consultations underscore the continued commitment of both countries to deepen strategic, economic and technological collaboration, strengthen regional connectivity and further expand their long-standing bilateral partnership.
