2021 produced 94 new billionaires from 77 IPOs: Hurun Rich list

IPO tale began with a flourish in 2021 but fizzled out towards the end of the year. It was a good year for IPOs, with 94 new billionaires from 77 offerings. On India, 2021 was also a watershed point for the startup sector, with large IPOs, including four businesses in the Hurun Global Unicorn Index. In India, the top 10 tech businesses that listed in 2021 have lost a total of Rs 1,72,000 crore (US$ 22.60 billion) since their IPO, causing the tech IPO "Ashwamedham" to be temporarily paused.
