89% of India's adult population fully vaccinated against Covid: Mandaviya

According to Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya, 89% of the country's adult population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while over 75% of children in the 12-14 age bracket have received the first dose.

According to provisional reports from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as of 7 AM on June 16, the total number of vaccination doses delivered in the country has surpassed 195.67 crore. This was accomplished by a total of 2,51,69,966 sessions.

A total of 3,661,899 precaution doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to those aged 18-59 years. In addition, the first dose has been delivered to around 5.99 crore adolescents between the ages of 15-18.
