Accor a French hospitality major will expand its India's portfolio by adding nine additional hotels in the mid-scale and economy categories, bringing the total number of hotels 54, with 10,000 rooms in India. Accor will add over 1,300 keys to its Novotel and ibis brands in the nation over the next two years. Accor owns ten brands in India, including luxury, premium, upper midscale, midscale, and economical. In collaboration with InterGlobe Hotels, Accor opened Raffles Udaipur, Novotel Chandigarh, and ibis Vikhroli Mumbai last year. With 21 operating mid-scale hotels, the Novotel network may be found in cities including as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, and Hyderabad. Accor aims to add six new properties to its network over the next 24 months, two of which will debut in India's leading two-tier markets - Novotel Bhubaneshwar Janpath Road and Novotel Jodhpur ITI Circle. In conjunction with InterGlobe Hotels, Accor will continue to expand its ibis and ibis Styles brands by adding three additional hotels to the existing portfolio of 20 hotels in the next two years.

India is a diversified market with heterogeneous guests, and Accor's endeavour is to respond to their guests in all their many identities and evolving demands. Staycations and workcations to both metropolitan and non-metropolitan cities are in high demand as travellers' confidence returns and the Indian tourist sentiment improves. Accor believes they can meet this demand.

Accor CEO (India, Middle East, Africa & Turkey) Mark Willis said: “India is a diverse market with heterogeneous guests, and our endeavour is to cater to our guests in all their varied personas and changing needs… We will continue to expand our footprint in the upper mid-scale and economy segment in India with the Novotel and ibis brands, and also keep looking for the right partners as we expand our luxury brands after the successful response we received for Raffles Udaipur last year.”
