Adani investment to Tata semiconductor hub: 5 biggest announcements at Vibrant Gujarat Summit

Chairperson of the Adani Group, Mr. Gautam Adani announced a significant commitment to advancing an independent and sustainable India at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. Emphasizing the development of a green supply chain, Adani Group pledged to invest over US$ 24 billion (Rs. 2 Lakh Crores) in Gujarat over the next five years, aiming to create the largest integrated renewable energy ecosystem for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Maruti Suzuki India, represented by Suzuki Motor Corporation President Mr. Toshihiro Suzuki at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, disclosed plans to invest US$ 4.2 billion (Rs. 35,000 crore) in establishing its second manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The new plant is slated to have an installed production capacity of 10 lakh units per annum, contributing to a total annual production capacity of two million units in Gujarat.

Tata Group, as announced by Tata Sons Chairman, Mr. N Chandrasekaran during the summit, is set to construct a semiconductor factory in Dholera, Gujarat. Additionally, the group is launching a 20 GW gigafactory for lithium-ion battery manufacturing in Sanand, with plans for a substantial semiconductor fab in Dholera. ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) is underway with the construction of the largest single-location integrated steel plant globally at Hazira, Gujarat, according to the announcement by the Executive Chairman of ArcelorMittal, Mr. Lakshmi Mittal, during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. The plant, operational by 2029, will boast a capacity of producing 24 million tonnes of crude steel.

Global computing major Nvidia, through its partner Yotta, is set to commission an "artificial intelligence data center" in Gujarat's GIFT City before the end of March. Senior Vice President at Nvidia Global Field Operations, Mr. Shankar Trivedi highlighted partnerships with Tata Group and Reliance Industries for data center establishments, with the Yotta data center, a Hiranandani Group company, expected to go live by March.
