Airtel Payments Bank surpassed one billion transactions in January 2025, reflecting a 47% YoY growth in transaction volume. The achievement highlights the increasing adoption of digital banking solutions and the bank's diverse business model, according to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Anubrata Biswas. The bank serves urban digital customers, underbanked segments, and industries, with over 5,00,000 banking points across India and 100 million monthly transacting users.

The bank’s ‘Safe Second Account,’ which adds an extra layer of payment verification, has driven strong customer adoption. Additionally, the bank issued over two million RuPay National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC) and witnessed a growing demand for Unified Payments Interface (UPI)-based payments, FASTag, Aadhaar-enabled Payment System (AePS), and mobile recharges. In Q3 FY25, Airtel Payments Bank reported Rs. 700 crore (US$ 80.70 million) in revenue and Rs. 18.5 crore (US$ 2.10 million) in net profit. It also digitises Rs. 8,000 crore (US$ 921.90 million) monthly cash transactions through 4,000 corporate partnerships.
