Hyderabad: American e-commerce company Amazon on Thursday opened India’s largest fulfillment centre (FC) in Hyderabad at GMR airport city, just ahead of the festival season. The new facility has a 400,000 sq ft of carpet area with close to 2.1 million cubic feet of storage space. It is Amazon’s fifth FC in Telangana, ramping up the storage capacity to 3.3 million sq ft enabling faster deliveries to the customers in the region. In May, the company said it would double the storage capacity of little over 13 million sq ft across 41 FCs in India in the coming months.
