The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Informa Markets Dubai, the organiser of Gulfood, to strengthen India’s participation at Gulfood 2027. The agreement was signed at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of Commerce Secretary, Mr. Rajesh Agrawal. India will return as the Official Partner Country for Gulfood 2027, marking the second consecutive year of the partnership and building on the business momentum generated through its participation at Gulfood 2026. The partnership is expected to provide Indian exporters with a platform to connect with international buyers, strengthen market access and deepen India-UAE trade engagement under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
India’s participation at Gulfood 2027 will focus on showcasing premium, branded, innovative and value-added agricultural and processed food products through a unified national platform. The initiative will bring together exporters, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), startups, commodity boards and government institutions. Curated business-to-business (B2B) meetings, product showcases, conferences and industry engagements will support new business partnerships and export opportunities. The partnership will also encourage participation from MSMEs, FPOs, startups and women- and Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST)-led exporters. Gulfood 2027 is scheduled from March 15-19, 2027, in the UAE and is expected to provide Indian food exporters greater visibility among buyers across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), wider Middle East and African markets.
